The dumbbell is kind of the standard piece of equipment for resistance and strength training. They are typically a bit pricier than other equipment we’ve covered, especially since COVID, starting at around $15 for a 3 lb. set. They also do offer some options that are adjustable, where you can simply remove certain plates to change the weight. These retail for closer to $300, but may be worth it to be able to have multiple weight options. Dumbbells are generally used for upper body exercises, but can also be used for core work and some lower body exercises.
