Health Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. The health coach helps form a bridge between where you are and where you want to be. Coaching is client driven since you are the expert on yourself, and the health coach offers guidance and encouragement.
The health coach also provides education and resources as needed, and supports the client to reach their idea of wellness through lifestyle and behavior change.
The client identifies their personal values, and chooses an area of wellness they are most ready to make a change in. Together with the the health coach, clients brainstorm strategies to help them overcome challenges and create an action plan to reach their personal wellness goals.
Areas of coaching include goal setting and accountability, disease management and prevention, tobacco cessation, weight management, stress management and more!
